Cherokee HS Senior Wins 2025 Maritza Mott Scholarship
A Cherokee High School Class of 2025 graduate has won the annual Maritza Mott Scholarship!
Gabriela Huerta Hernandez earned the $1,000 memorial scholarship, which is open to one graduating senior and awarded based on an application, essay questions and references. Congratulations to Gabriela, thank you to the scholarship sponsor, and thank you to our School Board for its investment in our students!
She will be attending Chattahoochee Technical College to study psychology. A member of Cherokee High’s Interact Club, Spanish National Honor Society, First Generation Club, and Drama Club, Gabriela has volunteered numerous hours in the community by helping others learn English and collecting donations for canned food drives.
