Cherokee HS Senior Earns Judy Johnson Memorial Scholarship

A Cherokee High School graduating senior is this year’s winner of the Judy Johnson Memorial Scholarship presented by the Cherokee County School District’s School Nutrition Association.

Congratulations to John Grauso, who will study communication and media studies at Reinhardt University to pursue a career in the film industry!  The $500 scholarship honors the service of a dedicated CCSD School Nutrition employee, Judy Johnson.  Thank you to our School Nutrition professionals for sponsoring this scholarship!  Our School Board is laser focused on ensuring our students are learning more, growing more, and achieving more in our classrooms than they could anywhere else.

Applications are reviewed and scored by the association’s scholarship committee made up of employees and community members.  John is a four-year Career Pathway: Audio/Video Technology and Film student who works on his school’s news broadcast.  He’s a member of the First Priority club, works part-time at Chick-fil-A, and manages his own YouTube channel.  John volunteers on his church’s technology team and runs the sound and audio system for services and events.
