Cherokee HS Admin Team Tours New High School Facility
The Cherokee High School administration team got its first peek inside their new school facility last week, with an afternoon tour led by CCSD Support Services. Wearing hard hats -- and very comfortable shoes -- the CHS crew was able to see office space, CTAE classrooms, the media center, classroom wings and more.
The 473,000-square-foot school, still a year from completion, is slated to open for the 2026-27 school year and is funded by the voter-approved Education Special Purpose Local Option Sale Tax (Ed SPLOST).
"We are so excited to see the progress on the new building, and the size and scope of the building is truly breathtaking," said Principal Andy Hall. "You can feel your energy level go up the minute you walk in the door, and we’re excited to join our staff and students in this exciting new chapter for Cherokee High School. Thank you to our School Board for making this happen for our Warriors."
