CCSD Seniors Honored by Sports Hall of Fame

Twelve Cherokee County School District Class of 2026 graduating seniors will be honored this week by the Cherokee County Sports Hall of Fame! 

The community organization, a CCSD Partner, every spring recognizes the most outstanding male and female senior athletes from each of CCSD’s six traditional high schools.  Honorees are nominated by high school administrators based outstanding athletic contributions made during their high school career.  

Congratulations to the Class of 2026 honorees who will be recognized at Friday’s ceremony and their coaches!  Thank you to the Hall of Fame for its valued partnership.  Our School Board is laser focused on ensuring our students are learning more, growing more, and achieving more in our classrooms than they could anywhere else.

This senior recognition is a separate honor from the Hall of Fame’s annual induction of individuals who have distinguished themselves over many years in the field of athletics in Cherokee County.  This year’s inductees are Cherokee High School alumni Jayson Foster for excellence in football and Etowah High School alumni Chris Kirk for excellence in golf.  The 2014 Sequoyah High School State Championship Volleyball Team also will receive special recognition as part of the ceremony.
