Greetings fellow Warriors,

I am excited to welcome everyone to an exciting new school year here at Cherokee High School, the 70th in school history and the last in our historic school building. Cherokee High School is a special place, one where students, teachers, and community members all share a sense of pride and purpose. We are the oldest and largest high school in the district, and I look forward to working with everyone at Cherokee this year to elevate the excellence that pervades everything we do here.

Here at Cherokee, we stand committed to preparing students for the future, equipping them with knowledge and skills to make them successful after high school, and we take pride in working with all our students and their families to meet this challenge. This focus on being “future ready” will continue to permeate what we do at CHS, and we look forward to a wonderful year, one where all our students capitalize on the opportunity to learn, listen, and contribute to the impressive community of learners and leaders at CHS. We will celebrate the 70 years of excellence and tradition here at CHS while looking toward a bright future in the new school location that we’ll move to for next school year.

As we embark on this school year, I urge all our students and parents to get involved in any way you can; it’s the Warrior Way to contribute your efforts to make your community a better place. Our thriving, diverse community of learners strives for excellence at Cherokee High School, and our faculty and staff will be here every day, helping students make the most of every opportunity here at Cherokee High School.

Let’s have a great year Warriors, one where we make the most of what we can do together; I can’t wait to go on the journey with all of you.

Once a Warrior, Always a Warrior!
